A loan helped to harvest 8 manzanas of corn.

Herling's story

Herling is from a community of producers of basic grains. He is married and has had three children who are still minors.

He has 5 years of experience in the field of basic grains. His primary source of income is planting and selling basic grains, particularly corn, a product which is in high demand in his community. He and his wife plow, cultivate, and sell the basic grains which, with great effort and dedication, they grow.

Herling is currently requesting financing from Kiva and Aldea Global to plant and establish 8 manzanas of corn. The financing will be used to buy fertilizers and manure, which will contribute better nutrients to his crop, making its yield develop adequately and, so, to be able to get better earnings which then will improve his family's quality of life.
