A loan helped a member to buy and sell grocery products.

Las Delicias Group's story

The group "Las Delicias" is formed by women who are mothers of families. They are capable of achieving personal and economic goals, as well as discovering and strengthening their abilities to make decisions within and outside of their nuclear families. They live in working-class districts where the living conditions are sub-optimal.

This is the case for Señora Karina, age 33. She is married, with three children. In her house, she has a little grocery store where she sells products for the basic [family food] basket. She saw in this activity the opportunity to generate income to support the household expenses.

With the loan, she will buy canned foods, beans, rice, cleaning products, and everything related to her business.

In the future, Karina aspires to be able to have a well-stocked store in order to win more customers.

The other women who form the group are Tania, Elena, Yuliana, Patricia, Diana, Zuleyma, and Yareli, women who go out day by day to seek the family sustenance.

In this group: Tania Guadalupe, Leyla Karina, Cruz Elena, Yuliana, Patricia, Diana, Zuleyma Del Carmen, Yareli
