A loan helped to buy embryos, as well as feed and medicine for her pigs.

Alexandra Jackeline's story

Alexandra Jackeline is 35 years old. She is in a common law marriage and has 2 children, aged 15 and 13. Her husband works at a shrimp farm. They live in the parish of La Unión of the Santa Ana canton, a agricultural area par excellence. The people there are hardworking and mostly do farming activities and raise livestock.

Alexandra Jackeline is a very hardworking woman who seeks a way to earn her income and help her husband to get the household and their children ahead. Despite life in the country being very difficult due to a lack of resources, she is able to keep going on with her daily effort and hard work. She raises pigs. She has some breeding sows that she hopes to inseminate and improve the genetic quality of her piglets. She raises them until they are ready for selling and then sells them to merchants who come to the area.

This loan is to buy embryos, as well as feed and medicine for the pigs.
