Lewia's story

Lewia is a dependable businesswoman and mother of six grown children. She is single and lives with her children in a rural location south west of Efate, that is a 16-minute bus journey from town. She is a new SPBD member with her first loan cycle. To make ends meet, she cooks and sells a traditional dish known as simboro on kava bars.

She started her business a few months ago to aid her family with basic home requirements. Her ambition is to build and sustain her business. Her current objective is to get island cabbages and cassava baskets to make amazing simboro for sale. However, she is in financial difficulty.
