A loan helped a member to buy peanut seeds and fertiliser.

05-Amy Group's story

This group of women was formed in April 2018. They all live in the same neighbourhood and enjoy very strong family ties and mutual support. Their main business activity has been agriculture for the past 6 years.

Amy, with her hand raised in the photo, is 52 years old and married with 5 children including 3 girls. She is an arable farmer.

With this loan, Amy plans to buy 10 sacks of peanut inputs and 10 sacks of fertiliser for growing them. After the harvest, she will sell her crop at the local market for a good price in the hope of obtaining the best return.

Amy plans to use the profit to build up her savings and help her husband to cover the family's living costs (food, healthcare, children's education).

In this group: Syra Loly, Awa, Mariama, Amy, Coumba, Seynabou, Seynabou, Fatou
