A loan helped an immigrant woman to share Oaxacan's flavors and coffee.

Soraya's story

I am Soraya, originally from the state of Oaxaca, Mexico. In my country I studied Chemical Engineering in Food and specialized in coffee and bread process.
My family and I arrived in this land of opportunity five years ago and our path to reach our purpose of working for a better lifestyle was very difficult. The struggle started by trying to find a place to live, finding a job, and facing how difficult it was to adapt to a different culture, language and customs where everything is different than back home.

Sometimes I thought that I would never continue pursuing my dreams, however, I started to explore for resources and ways to reach the goal of owning a business in the bread or coffee industry. My husband and I were clear of the great need to learn English if we really wanted to set our goals.

This loan is special because:

It supports a small business owner with 0%-interest, zero-fee capital.
