Keur Serigne Bara Group's story

This group is made up of nine women who share strong ties of solidarity and of helping each other. They live in the same neighborhood and took the opportunity to join the banc villageois when it was started in their community in December 2008. They share the same main business, retail commerce.

Aida (standing at the far left in the photo with her hand raised) is the group representative. She is 33 years old. married and the mother of two children. She sells retail and is experienced in this business having done it for a number of years.

With the loan she plans to buy cartons of shoes and boxes of perfume to resell retail in her neighborhood.

With her earnings she will contribute to the day-to-day expenses, add to her savings and expand her business.
