Tammy's story

I grew up in Rochester, NY in a not-so-typical family unit. I was the eldest of 5 children. My mom always held me to a higher standard than my other siblings and mediocrity wasn't acceptable. She always stressed that I always work hard and put forth my best effort in anything that I did. What has shaped me is a combination of my upbringing and the love and nurturing I received from my maternal/paternal grandmothers which is what Granny's Kitchen symbolizes.

What motivates me is doing the impossible and doing it very well. Being a black educated & successful business owner isn't the status quo but I'm so glad that I and many others continue to step out on faith and do what we love and continue to shatter this myth. I love to prepare mouth-watering entrees and delicious desserts that keep customers coming back. I have further aspirations to grow the business from 1 location to a multimillion-dollar franchise company.
