A loan helped to open another mobile monetary transfer (Mpesa) shop.

Lucy Wangeci's story

Lucy G. is 40 years old and married to Peter Macharia, who also contributes to the family income. She has two children aged seven and three years old.

Lucy has been running her mobile monetary transfer, locally known as a Mpesa shop, for a period of three years, making an income of approximately KES 19,200 per month.

This is her fifth loan after successfully repaying the previous loans in full and in good time. She hopes to give her children a quality education, improve her family's living standard and hopefully start her own bank in the future.
