A loan helped to buy a fiber extractor that will streamline the processing of his agricultural production.

Celio's story

Celio is an indigenous farmer from Jambalo, Cauca, with 25 years of experience in the field. He owns a two-hectare plot of land granted by the indigenous council where he cultivates over 6,000 cabuya plants. He strategically schedules them in stages of growth, ensuring a fruitful harvest of over half a ton every two weeks. He processes the harvest manually and sells to a local supplier.

Celio lives with his wife and son in a house located within his agricultural lands. His wife also practices agriculture and helps him manage their crops.

A loan of 3,632,820 COP will enable Celio to purchase a fiber extractor. This equipment will streamline the extraction process, increasing productivity and profitability while reducing labor-intensive tasks.
