A loan helped to restock his shop with a wider range of commodities to increase his income.

Jackson's story

Jackson, a single father of six children between the ages of 5 and 20, arrived in Uganda in 2017 after the civil war forced him to flee South Sudan. Through perseverance, he's built a successful retail shop over the past 7 years, serving the needs of his community.
However, his current stock limits the variety of essential goods he can offer his customers. With a loan, Jackson hopes to purchase a wider range of mixed goods, including sugar, beer, soap, rice, and more. This will not only increase his sales and income but also ensure his shop remains a reliable source of everyday essentials for the people of Uganda.
Jackson's vision extends beyond his own success. He dreams of creating employment opportunities for other refugees by opening an additional shop and expanding his delivery network with more vehicles. This would foster self-sufficiency and empower others to build a brighter future, inspiring the community around him.
