A loan helped a member to buy more plantains and Sorghum.

Ubumwe Cb Group's story

Rachel is a 45-year-old mother of seven children, aged between 11 and 27 years old. Her husband is a farmer.

For the past twelve years Rachel has been selling foodstuffs.

Rachel is the leader of the group called Ubumwe CB, which means "People who are One" in English. Group members sell different items and own a variety of businesses.

Rachel will use her loan to buy more plantains and Sorghum to sell them within her community so that she can meet the customer demand of the community.

With the profits from her sales she hopes to be able to reinvest in her business and also to provide medical insurance for the family.

She is thankful for your support.
