Seated at the far left, Mary is a widow and the leader of this group of four. She hails from Manhyia Anyinamsuso in Tepa, a farming community in Tepa, Ahafo Ano North Region of Ghana. Mixed farming is her sole livelihood.

Mary’s major challenge is a lack of certified seeds and other farming inputs, so she has requested a group loan from Summit Vision Microfinance. She will use her share of the loan to acquire certified seeds and other farm inputs to increase her farm’s production. This will help her better face the unpredictable nature of farming and meet her family’s financial demands as a widow.
