A loan helped a local Puerto Rico based brand to expand its inventory to meet increased demand!

Christie's story

Hello! My name is Christie, owner and designer of Bori Brand. I am a mother of two boys and I did my studies in Criminal Justice but the art and love I feel for creating led me to develop my own brand of sunglasses and accessories in wood and other eco friendly materials. I am from Caguas, Puerto Rico, a beautiful town near San Juan that has seen my business grow.

Bori was created in 2017 after the passage of Hurricane Maria - I developed the brand focused on sunglasses made with wood and other materials such as wheat and coffee. We currently have other accessories such as dress ties, wallets and lampshades created with wood.

Our main focus is to have products that help and contribute to the conservation of the environment. Customer acceptance of the brand has been very good, so we are looking to expand our inventory in order to expand and take our brand to other points of sale.

I faithfully believe that dreams come true, and Bori is part of a dream that I work hard for and that I know has the potential to develop beyond where it is now.
