A loan helped to add stock.

Amina's story

Meet Amina, a refugee mother to 5 children who all are school-going and stay with her in Moyo, which is in the West Nile region of Uganda.

Today she is a woman who is happy and slowly she is starting to be what she ever wanted to be. While leaving Sudan to come to Uganda, she had lost hope.

Today she is a farmer who goes very early in the morning to her garden and then later on, she comes back to her small stall.

Life is not as it used to be, at least she can afford for her family two meals a day as well as some other basic needs. However, she has not yet gotten to the level she would like to reach.

She would like to add more stock to the business so that with the addition in place, she will be able to boost her sales and pay for school. Her dream is to build a permanent house one day.

She is forever grateful for all the support that VisionFund and Kiva have given her to enable her to have a better life.
