Chano is a 42-year-old mother of three schoolgoing children. She formed and led a group of three women. All the members of this group are hardworking and live in the same locality in Kishanganj, Bihar, India. Together they are asking for a loan of 100,000 INR from Milaap to help them expand their small businesses.
Every day, Chano sells fish at the market. Selling fish proves to be quite profitable for her, as she gets a good supply of quality fish. On days when she has leftover fish, she stores it in a freezer and sells it the next day. Her household monthly income is only 9,500 INR.
Due to lack of capital, Chano has not been able to sell as much as she wants or make much profit. With the help of a Milaap loan, she will take more boxes of fish and sell them to make more income.
This group of women thanks the lenders and is hopeful about the success of their own businesses.
Note: One of the borrowers was unable to come for the group photo due to a health issue.
