A loan helped a member to buy chicks to raise and sell once finished.

Nianing Santhie Group's story

This banc villageois was established in September 2008. It is made up of courageous, hardworking women who live in the same village. The women work in small trade.

Madame Dieynaba, raising her hand on the right side of the photo, is the group's representative. She is 46 years old, married and the mother of four children, including three girls, all of whom currently attend school.

Dieynaba will buy 400 chicks and 20 sacks of feed. She will use the rest for vaccines, electricity and water. The strength of her business is her commitment to sanitation. Her children also help her when they are not in school. Once they are finished, she has quality chickens that can be easily sold.

Dieynaba will use her profits to pay for her children's school fees and to contribute to household expenses.
