A loan helped to buy seeds, compost, fertilizer, as well as pay for labor costs.

Yajaira Abigail's story

Yajaira, a young outgoing girl, lives with her mother in a cement house and Eternit [brand] roof which is located in the middle of her family's banana plantation.

Here, she and her mother live working in agriculture. They plant their own banana and cacao plants. They also care for the seedlings of her grandparents.

They are allowed to live there in exchange for maintaining the crops.

For 2 years, Yajaira has been splitting the work with her mother.

Now she wants to become independent and plant more land.

But to do that, she needs financial help that will allow her to buy seeds, compost, fertilizers, and also pay labor costs which will help preparing the fields where she will plant.

Yajaira hopes to have improved economic stability and will be able to offer an opportunity to change her and her family's lifestyle.
