A loan helped to start her new retail shop by buying stock needed.

Linda's story

Linda is 18 and is the mother of a 1-year-old child. She has a partner who is unemployed and the family live in a rural community in a home owned by her partner and herself. Because her partner is unemployed, she decided to open up a little retail shop run from her home to bring in finances in order to support her child.

Linda is only starting off her business and is hopeful for how much the business will help her family. She will also provide an important service to her community due to the area she resides in not having that many shops available.

Linda dreams of making sure her child is able to attend school in the future and would like to be able to have finances available for when she starts her educational journey. However she is currently financially restrained and cannot start off on her plans.

Linda is requesting a loan to help pay for stock needed in her new retail shop. All income generated from her business will help in taking care of household necessities, investments for her child and savings for future plans.

Through the loans she has received form SPBD, Linda is continuously empowered in doing the best for her family. Thank you for supporting Linda!

This loan is special because:

It provides women with credit in a country where alternative financing is extremely scarce.
