A loan helped a member to buy pagnes, fabrics and sewing materials.

Akiba/Isga Group's story

Rosette is a customer of the MFI Hekima and the leader of the Akiba/Isga village group. She is married, 42 years old, and the mother of 9 children who all attend school. Her partner is a merchant.

She sells sewing material. She started her business 20 years ago with start-up funds she received from her brother. Later, she joined Hekima to support her business which has been progressing steadily since.

She will use this new loan to buy pagnes (highly colourful and decorative West African material), fabrics and sewing materials. Her business faces no challenges.

She would like to see her children continue with their education and to develop her business.

Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for supporting the owners of non-bankable business during the covd-19 pandemic.

Note: only the group leader is pictured because of covid-19 social distancing measures.

In this group: Brigitte, Namuto, Nelly, Rachel, Rosette, Wel Dany, Safi, Sylvie
