A loan helped an esthetician build a sanctuary to support women throughout their self-care journey.

Xavriana's story

My name is Xavriana and I am the proud owner and operator of Vanity Esthetics. I was born in the PNW but raised for the most part in the small town of Anchorage, Alaska. Growing up there was difficult and the influences that surrounded me were unhealthy for a young person to be around.

To create the peaceful and successful life that I desired I knew I had to work very hard to get there. One thing I know for certain, I have always been a hustler. At 16 years old, I attended a high school completion program where I was able to work full time to afford my own apartment while still being able to graduate with a High School Diploma. I was the first to do so since my Great-grandparents. I became pregnant with my daughter at 18 years old and left Alaska to pursue a better life for us in Tacoma, Washington.

I always strived for a sense of purpose, and knew I had much more to offer to the world. As a single mother working two jobs to make ends meet, having little time with my daughter, and even less time to pour into myself it was time I figured out what that purpose was.

One thing I had felt growing up, and I know many can relate, was self conscious. I struggled with acneic skin very badly and never knew what skincare products to use. I became very interested in esthetics and decided to go back to school. I grew such a deep passion for skincare and even more so, self care.
