From Somotillo, Nicaragua is the community group Sagrado Corazón de Jesus 2. It is made up of 8 members who are known for being responsible, hardworking, and for working in solidarity. Their businesses are selling soft drinks, selling clothing, selling fish, selling frozen goods, selling tortillas, and selling cooked beans.
Yesica Antonia (seen in the pink shirt with black pants and shoes) is 35, single, and has two sons ages 14 and 8. 3 people live in her house. Her business is selling cooked beans, soft drinks, and fried foods. What she likes most about her business is that she works from home on her own account while at the same time she can care for her family. The challenges that confront her business are the price hikes in products. She is requesting the amount of 20,000 NIO, which she will invest in the purchase of one quintal (100 pounds) of beans, a quintal of rice, a drum of oil, two boxes of juice, and water packs. The loan will help her to stock her business to continue working. Her dreams and hopes for the future are for her business to prosper and to always have the support of Pro Mujer to continue working. She advises woman to not be afraid of taking out a loan; she invites them to take the risk, everything is in knowing how to manage it.
Invest in a woman, transform her life!
