A loan helped a member to purchase an oven for spit-roasted chicken.

Juntas Progresaremos Group's story

Elisa makes traditional Paraguayan fast food and sells it from door to door in her community. She has 5 children to care for and support. Thanks to her loans, Elisa not only grew her business but also made improvements to her home. She formed a community with 16 other women which continues growing, and in addition paid off her debts in nearby convenience stores.

She has experienced community and freedom like never before, which has inspired her to dream big. With this loan, Elisa will purchase an oven for spit-roasted chicken, which she sells a lot of on the weekends.

Elisa dreams of having her own store to sell her food and desserts to be able to stay at home and work while she takes care of her children. Others in Elisa's group have beauty salons or sell clothing, cleaning items, or food.
