A loan helped to purchase a used transporter.

Beqir's story

In a small town, nestled among the hills, lived Beqir, a resilient and hardworking individual who belonged to the RAE community. Life had not been easy for Beqir, but his determination and resourcefulness allowed him to find a way to make a living. He collected aluminum cans from various sources and sold them to recycling centers to support himself and his family.

Every day, Beqir would wander through the streets, scouring bins, and dumpsters, searching for discarded aluminum cans. It was a humble and often overlooked occupation, but Beqir approached it with pride and a sense of purpose. He understood the value of recycling and the impact it could have on both the environment and his own livelihood.

As Beqir's aluminum can collection grew, he faced a new challenge. Transportation became increasingly difficult without a reliable means to transport the cans to the recycling centers. And for the first time in his life, he decided to apply for a Kiva loan. The loan will be used to purchase a used transporter. As a result, Beqir will be able to lead a better life for himself and his family.

Beqir thanks all Kiva lenders for their love and support. He wishes them all the best.

This loan is special because:

It supports excluded and displaced populations in Kosovo.
