A loan helped to support a young businessman and refugee from DRC to expand his businesses (three grocery shop and his mobile money services).

Mico's story

Mico is a refugee from DRC; he lives in the Mahama refugee camp. He is single and runs a business in both the Mahama camp and Nyabiheke refugee camp. He has mobile transaction services including Mobile Money, Equity, Money Gram, and Western Union and he also has three grocery shops in the Mahama refugee camp. He is also known as M-visa agent in the community. He used to work for his brother who is relocated to the USA, but now he is the owner of all of those businesses.

After participating in INKOMOKO training and benefiting from acquiring skills he needed, Mico is requesting a loan to increase his working capital in his three grocery shops (by adding all the products mainly requested by his customers) and his float in the mobile transaction services. He hopes to expand his businesses even more.

This loan is special because:

It helps refugees launch businesses to rebuild their lives.
