A loan helped to support a Burundian refugee's agribusiness expansion.

Green Fresh Food's story

Green Fresh Food is a company owned by Renovat, who is an urban refugee from Burundi and he is the one in the attached photo. The company started operating in 2020.

Green Fresh Food rents land in the Masaka, where he cultivates chili and soya. Green Fresh Food leases land and grows different products. Renovat has been in this business of farming for so long, as he used to practice the same in his country. He started his business with the purpose of providing fresh food products on the market, which is profitable. Green Fresh Food managed to secure a license to export some of his products.

He recently got some contracts from Dubai and the UK to supply chili and avocados. Green Fresh Food has a strong base of customers, for example companies, supermarkets, and many others.

Green Fresh Food is requesting a loan so he can supply chili and avocados to Dubai and the UK as per his new contracts and this will enable Green Fresh food to expand.

This loan is special because:
