This group was mobilized in August 2006 in order to create this 'banc villageois' for realizing their ambitions and improving their living conditions. They are active in retail commerce.
Ms. Aissatou, with a hand raised in the photo, is the group's representative. She is 56, married, and the mother of five. She has a fishmonger’s shop near the market.
With her new loan, she intends to pay for an inventory of fish and a new refrigerator. Her earnings will be used to enhance her business and to support herself.
