A loan helped to buy fabric for "gulduzi" embroidery as well as other sewing notions.

Yosuman's story

Yosuman is a 19-year-old resident of the town of Vose and is involved in hand-embroidery (pillowcases with embroidered ornamentation) and other traditional items. She learned this skill from her mother. Embroidery is difficult work that requires total dedication. Yosuman says that a woman without a skill, is like a tree without fruit. And to learn this craft skillfully, you must love what you do.

Despite her youth, many clients choose Yosuman since her work is of high quality. She embroiders for herself, her parents and a number of local clients. Yosuman has applied for a loan to buy more fabric to make "Gulduzi" embroidery and other sewing notions.
