A loan helped to buy more goats to raise and resell.

Erinah's story

Erinah is 33 years old and lives in the town of Mityana in the Mityana region of Uganda. She is married and has two children, who are both currently in school. For the past two years, Erinah has been working hard to manage her livestock farm.

To help expand her business, Erinah has requested a 1,000,000 UGX from BRAC Uganda to buy more goats to raise for resale. This will help her to increase her production and generate greater revenue. She will use her profits to provide food for her family.

Erinah hopes that, in the future, she will be able to purchase land to enlarge her farm.

Erinah is a member of BRAC's Microfinance (MF) program. The program primarily serves small group members, like Erinah, who do not have collateral for commercial loans but have businesses that have grown and qualify for microloans.
