This 'banc villageois' to which these women belong was set up in December 2013. It is composed of women who generally work in small-scale commerce and who get along well.

Ms. Nguir Yalla is married, 49 years old, and the mother of five. She is active in selling 'pagnes' [the colorful wax cloth of western Africa]’, bed sheets, and vegetables.

With her loan, she intends to purchase 150 lengths of ‘pagne’ cloth, 10 bed sheets, and some vegetables that she will resell from her home. She has good experience in her domain and a very loyal customer base.

With her earnings, she plans to bolster her savings.
