The owner started his company after completing his university studies, and he also joined China National Bamboo Research, which helped him to best run his business and learn how to utilize bamboo. Mon Bamboo produces chairs, sofa sets, cupboards, beds, tables, and lamps.

Mon Bamboo has a strong base of customers and serves local clients (homes, hotels, guest houses, and bars) from Rwanda and DR Congo. In addition, he had various contracts with governmental institutions and private sectors. Mon Bamboo works with the government in the annual gorilla-naming ceremony, and in the decoration and construction of monuments with bamboo, which makes more profit for the company.
