A loan helped a member to buy products of primary necessity, corn, and gas.

Dúo Nueva Jerusalem Group's story

This duo is represented by Maria Candelaria. She begins to tend her business very early [in the morning]. She has had it for a number of years. It has been her motor for succeeding with her children, although they have already grown up. This leaves her very happy, since she has been able to raise them. It has been one of her dreams accomplished.

She is again applying for a loan to invest in her little store, where she sells soft drinks, beans, and cookies. She also makes tortillas. She will invest her loan in the purchase of corn, lime, and gas for making tortillas, a separate [business] from the sale of items of primary necessity, sugar, cookies, soups, and sparkling waters.

Her dream is to be able to make some improvements to her house, and she hopes to be able to achieve this.
