This group consists of 28 women who share strong bonds of solidarity and mutually help each other. They live in the same neighbourhood and they seized the opportunity to join the "banc villageois" when it was started in their area in July 2018. Their main business is fattening animals and retail.
Mrs. Faty, (who is standing on the far right of the picture with her hand raised), is the leader of the group. She is 32 years old, married and the mother of 5 children, including 1 girl. She fattens sheep. She has been in that business for many years and is experienced.
With this new loan, she wants to buy sheep and animal feed. She will raise the sheep and will resell them after a few months. She will use her earnings to grow her business and pay for her children's schooling
