A loan helped a member to buy more oil and tyres.

Ishema Cb Sub Grp A Group's story

Chantal is 25 years old, married to a technician, and has, for the last two years, earned a living selling auto spare parts.

She also leads a loan group called Ishema CB SUB GRP A, which in English means “brave people.” Group members sell different items and own a variety of businesses.

Chantal will use her portion of this loan to buy more oil and tyres to sell in her garage so she can meet customer demand. With the profits from her sales, she hopes to be able to reinvest in her business.

Chantal is very grateful for the support of Kiva lenders.

Due to the global pandemic, Urwego was not able to photograph all of the loan group's members but was able to get one representative for a photo.

In this group: Zakayo, Vedaste, Claire, Chantal, John Peter , Felix, Nerisoni, Jean Baptiste , Gaspard, Leatitia, Denyse, Faustin, Ngendabanga, Sarah

This loan is special because:

It provides financial opportunities to riskier Rwandan entrepreneurs who rely on social collateral.
