A loan helped to buy more traditional clothing to sell such as embroidered blouses, sashes, and fabric.

María's story

Sra. María lives in the small village of Xejuyup and has two children. She and her husband work together every day to provide their children with a better standard of living. Known by her neighbours as a generous, friendly, and responsible woman, María watches out for her family's wellbeing. Currently she earns her living buying and selling traditional clothing as well as making the embroidered blouses typical of the region.

As she wishes to generate more income, María is seeking a loan so she can buy more clothing to sell such as tops, embroidered blouses, fabric, and traditional sashes from different places. In this way she can grow her business a little more and offer her customers a variety of clothing. Amongst her plans is growing her business within her community as well as going out to make sales to different businesses in the markets in the surrounding area.

She is confident that she will achieve her goal and will help her family gain a better standard of living.
