A loan helped a member to purchase flour, oil, and firewood.

Unidos Para Prosperar Group's story

Unidas Para Progresar is a communal bank which comes from Jinotepe, Nicaragua, made up of 8 borrowers, 5 women and 3 men. They are close-knit and want to get ahead. Their businesses are selling tortillas, bread, and groceries.

Marcos Isaias (the borrower wearing a blue t-shirt and jeans) was sought out to be part of the communal bank. He is 39 years old, single, and lives with a total of three people (including his father and a sibling).

His dream is to grow his business, which is a bakery he has had for 8 years. His challenge is that the price of products rises day after day. He will use the loan to purchase flour, oil, and firewood.

His living conditions have improved because, before, his house was made of boards and now it is stone. This contributes to its security. His dream is to manage to have a stand in the market to be able to distribute the product.

He is counting on you in order to continue generating progress!
