Providence is a 38 year old mother of two children, age 6 and 10. Her husband is a motorist, and for the past six years, she has been selling fruits and vegetables.
She is the leader of a group called Umucyo TCB SUB GRP A, which in English means “cultured people.” Group members sell different items and own a variety of businesses.
Providence will use her loan to buy more cabbages, carrots, mangoes and oranges to sell within her community so that she can meet customer demand. With the profits from her sales, she hopes to be able to reinvest in her business and also be able to buy a piece of land in the future.
