Pinki's Group's story

Pinki is a 27-year-old woman living in a small village in Sarath, Deoghar, Jharkhand. She has a household of four members including one girl. Her daughter goes to the nearby school in her region. She is a farmer and grows paddy, groundnut, sugarcane, etc. on her plot of land. She manages to bring in a monthly household income of INR 19,000.

She plans on purchasing better qualities of fertilizers, seeds, pesticides, etc to grow her new batch of crops. She is planning on applying a different method of cropping that will yield more produce and thus increase her income. Therefore, she and her group has applied for a loan of INR 765,000 from Grameen Shakti, one of Milaap's field partners.
