A loan helped a member to buy corn and firewood for her food business.

Andalucia Group's story

The Communal Bank “Andalucía” consists of nine members who are responsible and cheerful. They have participated in five loan cycles. Their businesses include selling cosmetics, operating a grocery store, and selling food.

Brenda de Los Angeles is the woman in the photo who is seated and wearing a black T-shirt with stars. She is 40 years old and in a stable common-law relationship. Her companion works as a security guard. They have three children (ages 23, 14, and 5), all of whom are in school. Brenda de Los Angeles sells Nicaraguan tamales on the weekends. She feels good about her work experience because she is her own boss and gets to spend more time with her children without anyone else telling her what to do. The challenge she faces is when sales are low. The loan she is requesting will be used to buy corn and firewood. Brenda de Los Angeles plans to start another business. Her dream is to have a large business that she can pass on to her children so that they will have something of their own. She is a woman who believes in herself.

Invest in a woman who is full of dreams so that she can improve her quality of life and that of her family!
