A loan helped a member to buy fabric for resale.

01_Randoulene Sud Group's story

This group of hard-working women belong to the Banc Villageois that was established in the area in May 2009. They come from the same neighbourhood and have very good social and professional relationships. They are used to having loans and have already paid back 10 of them on time. Their main business activity is retail.
Maguette represents the group and can be seen on the right in the photo with her hand up. She is 35 years old and is married with two sons.
Maguette has a business selling fabric. She buys in bulk from the main retail shops and then resells as individual items door-to-door. She has over five years' experience in the sector.
She'll use the loan to buy fabric, bags and shoes to develop her business. She knows the market well and has a good customer base.
The profit she makes will allow her to save more and pay for the children's schooling.

In this group: Aminata, Mame Astou, Aïda, Fanta, Ndéye, Maguette
