A loan helped a member to buy sheep and goats.

05-Penda Group's story

Created in April 2019, this group consists of 10 women who live in the same neighbourhood and have very strong ties of kinship and solidarity. Their main activity is livestock.

Penda, who represents the group, is on the far right of the photo, raising her hand. She is 50 years old, married and has five children, including two boys.

With this new loan, she plans to buy sheep and goats to raise. After a few months of fattening, she will sell them at a good price on the local market, hoping to obtain a better income. The profits made will allow her to provide for her family and build up her savings.

In this group: Penda, Ndeye, Khordia, Khordia, Arame , Ndeye Mbathio, Atta , Fatim , Fatou, Fatou
