Madam Maombi is a client of the Hekima microfinance institution and is the leader of the village group "INEEMA". She is married, 36 years old and has 8 children who all attend school. Her partner is unemployed.
She sells shoes, and started this business six years ago with start-up funds provided by her husband. Later on, she joined the Hekima programme to support her business, and her business gradually developed.
She is going to use this new loan to buy plastic shoes, which will boost her initial capital. The challenge her business faces is due to delays in delivering goods.
She would like her children to continue their studies, and she would also like to develop her business. Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they give to the owners of non-bankable businesses in this global crisis linked to Covid-19.
Only the group leader appears in the photo, because of Covid-19 and in keeping with social distancing measures.
