Mele's story

Her name is Mele and she is a mother to four children. Mele's husband supports her in running her business, by growing her own mulberry plantation. It is a great help to her because buying mulberry from the market needs a lot of money because the the price of mulberry increases.

Mele has to prepare her soft tapas because every Saturday is their tapa-making day. More than one tapa is made, designed then sold out.

Shown in her photo is the fakapa tutu machine, which does the softening of the mulberry, instead of beating it up using human strength. She wish to use her loan to buy one of these machine. It will make her business easier and faster.
