A loan helped a member to buy ladies' clothing in bulk, which will strengthen her initial capital.

Manne Du Ciel Group's story

Madam Lucie is client of the micro-finance institution Hekima and she chairs the villager group "Manne du ciel" [Manna from Heaven]. She is a 68 years old widow and she is the mother of 7 children who all go to school.

She is a clothing seller. She started this business in 2006 with start-up funds she received from her late husband. Later on, she joined the Hekima program to support her business, which she continuously develops. With this new loan, she will buy ladies' clothing in bulk, which will strengthen her initial capital. Her business doesn't face any challenges.

She would like her children to continue to study and to feed her family. Finally, she wishes to thank Hekima and its partners for the support provided to business owners who lack access to banking services in the context of the global covid-19 crisis. The photo only shows the group leader to respect social distancing measures in place against covid-19.
