08-Kairacounda Group's story

This group was created in March 2011 and these 21 women joined it: they live in the same area and share good relations.

Their ambition is to develop their area and they are active in retail trade to achieve a certain independence.

Madam Fatou Bintou, 44 (with her hand raised in the photo), is the group leader: she is married and has five children and another dependent girl.

With her new loan she plans to buy oil, soap, blue and bleach to sell.

The profits generated will be used to strengthen her savings for her future needs.
