A loan helped to buy corn and beans to sell to local customers.

Safina's story

If you are looking for someone who is hardworking and dedicated to her work, look no further, because Safina (a 56-year-old mom of 5 children, shown above), portrays these traits. She is a smallholder farmer who resides in a remote village in Siongiroi.

Safina specializes in crop and dairy farming. Through farming, she has been able to provide for all her family’s needs.

Safina is a woman with great knowledge of the economic trends in her area, and she has acquired many skills and sales knowledge through this business. As a result, she deems the cereal business to be one of the highest profit-making businesses in her village. However, her savings aren’t enough to start this new enterprise, and she has requested assistance from Juhudi.

Profits from the cereal business will be used to repay the loan and improve Safina's living conditions.

Safina thanks her lenders, for it is only through this loan that she will achieve the opportunities awaiting her and enjoy success.
