Yim's story

Mrs. Yim C. (shown in the photo) has been married since 1976 and has five daughters. Two of them are married and live in separate homes, one is a garment factory worker, one is in a local school and another one weaves silk at home and assists her mother in the business. The family lives on an island in the Mekong River about 15 kilometers from Phnom Penh, the capital city of Cambodia.

Yim raises pigs at home and her husband produces rice wine. Yim is requesting a loan of US $600 to continue her business by purchasing feed for her pigs.
