A loan helped to buy seedlings.

Jane's story

Jane is a refugee mother to five children, all of whom are school-going and stay with her in Moyo. She smiles today and she is happy.

She is a farmer who grows millet, beans, sweet potatoes and ground nuts. The season has been so bad that it affected most of her crops, hence affecting the yields.

The crops from her garden are mainly to sell, and some for home consumption. Through this, she provides her family some basic needs, though not able to give them all that they need.

She would like to buy a variety of seedlings so that she will be able to sell more, pay school fees and offer her family a better life.

To be who she is today, she is very glad for all the support that VisionFund and Kiva has given her. She is very grateful .

This loan is special because:

It helps refugees in Uganda rebuild and sustain their livelihoods.
