Marema's Group's story

The group was created in 2013, when the Banc Villageois was set up: it consist solely of women from the same village with a good relationship of solidarity.
Their main business is the sale of livestock.

Madam Marema, on the right of the photo with her hand raised, is the group representative: aged 52, she is married and has five children (three boys and two girls).
She has been in this business for decades.

With her new loan she plans to buy sheep at the weekly markets and sell them in her area.

The profits generated by this business will be used to pay for the schooling and food of her children.
