A loan helped a member to buy bundles of second hand clothes, which will reinforce her initial capital.

Nuru2 Group's story

Madame Pelagie is a client of the Hekima IMF and president of the "Nuru 2" village group. She is married, 55 years old and the mother of six children who are all in school. Her partner is a mason.

Pelagie sells second hand clothes. She started this business 10 years ago with startup funds from her husband. Later on she joined the Hekima program to support her business, and has evolved progressively since. With this new loan, she will buy bundles of second hand clothes, which will strengthen her initial capital. The challenge of her business is related to bad selections of merchandise.

She would like for her children to continue their studies, and to develop her business. Finally, Pelagie wishes to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they bring to business owners who are not bankable due to the global Covid-19 crisis. The photo only features the group leader due to Covid-19 social distancing measures.

In this group: Pelagie, Henriette, Mapendo, Prudence, Justine, Claudine, Cecile, Germaine, Consolata, Prince, Wivine, Nyota, Prisca, Ciza, Nankavu, Cibalonza, Furaha, Bulenge, Marth
